John Fleming

For more than two decades, John has guided leading health care, retail, financial services, government, and not-for-profit business leaders through transformational change. The industries he has served have been undergoing rapid, far-reaching change. The scope of John’s experience spans the entire lifecycle of major transformation, from clarification of strategy, to design and implementation, and sustaining results in the “new normal” of the future state.

John has a deep understanding of the challenges leaders face in executing change. He brings a sense of compassion to helping senior teams fully comprehend what is needed to achieve full realization of their strategic objectives. He helps organizations take bold steps to shed their old skin often for the promise of “industry leading” status. An experienced practitioner specializing in the study of the human reaction to change he believes that there is always a deeper place to listen.

Leading with a calming influence, John brings a centeredness to transformation teams. His steady presence serves as the invisible thread holding a team in balance during the most challenging of times. Connecting tightly with his clients and teammates, John builds strong bonds of trust -- something he learned from his time as a Naval Flight Officer.

He is a veteran with more than 30 years of honorable service in the U.S. Navy and more than 3,000 flight hours in tactical aircraft. He held a top-secret security clearance as an active duty member and as a reservist.

John holds an MBA from the S.C Johnson School of Management at Cornell University and holds master certifications in all of ODR, Inc and Conner Partners change execution training programs and consulting methodologies. He has trained and coached more than 250 external and internal consultants in the application of organizational change execution methods. In addition, he has prepared more than 150 instructors to deliver organizational change execution programs.
